Hej!
My name is Audra Castle, a third year Industrial Design student minoring in Sustainability Studies and Art History at Pratt Institute. As a designer I focus on sustainability, importance of form and function, accessibility, and personality through my work and view each as essential parts of successful design. I seek inspiration from the world around me and the experiences that I have in it.
In terms of style, I lean towards the classic, sleek aesthetic over abstract and modern. However, I always appreciate a challenge that takes me out of my comfort zone. I take challenges head on and characterize myself as a problem solver.
As someone who has had the privilege of being an expat, living in the United States, Sweden, France, and the United Kingdom, I believe it is important to study and interact with the wider world through travel and experiences of different cultures. By doing so one becomes a Global Citizen and joins a wider network of designers that work together towards the betterment of Earth as a whole, as well as adds unique perspectives to one's work as a designer.
